Album Description

“The reason I particularly like game music from the 1990s is because of the immense limitations. The development environment imposed strict constraints, such as the number of available channels or storage capacity, making it difficult to express things freely. However, these conditions were shared by everyone, and creating game music felt like a fair competition starting from the same line. In the process of overcoming these limitations, individuality could be felt, and the attempt to express every scene through music sparked diverse imaginations. With technological advancements, the restrictions of the development environment disappeared, and the range of expression in game music broadened. Still, there are times when it becomes harder to feel freedom intentionally. Attempts to convey deep emotion within restricted and narrow spaces still deliver a certain intensity, and they remain impressive and enjoyable.”
